Even though the November weather turns the cities and villages gray - the concert calendars of our premierone artists could not have a more colorful program. In our monthly event preview, we have summarized the highlights for you.
At the ZKM Institute for Music and Acoustics Karlsruhe, Esther Saladin will premiere Hans Tutschku's new work "Herkunft - entschlüsseln - entbehren" for cello solo with live electronics. In addition, the cellist will be performing with the ensemble uBu at the winner's concert of the Boris Pergamenschikow Competition in Berlin on November 8.
The ensemble Double Beats will be guesting at the Hausmusikfestival PinkNovember in Bochum November 2 and 3. At the Kamara.hu festival in Budapest, the Kuss Quartet will perform on the 11th of November.
Claudio Bohórquez will perform a concert on November 10 at the Vivacello Festival in Moscow.
And Thorsten Johanns will be part of the Sonoro Festival in Bucharest on November 6. In addition, the sought-after clarinetist plays on Weinberg's Clarinet Concerto with the Bavarian Chamber Philharmonic in Augsburg on November 24.
Concerts and opera performances
Pianist Elena Gurevich is on tour in China this month with concerts in Guangzhou, Wuhan, Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Kungming, Chengdu and Shijiazhuang. On November 3, Joseph-Maurice Weder will give his debut concert at Carnegie Hall in New York as the winner of the 7th International Golden Classical Music Awards Competition. The premierone team congratulates! Marianna Shirinyan will give a concert at the Royal Danish Library on November 12. The pianist will be giving another performance on the stage of Laieszhalle Hamburg on November 20. Here she performs works by Tchaikovsky and Chopin. On November 14, Jan Schultsz gives a Brahms song recital with Rachel Harnisch and Marina Viotti in Karlsruhe. Paul Rivinius invites you to the concert evening "Rivinius and Friends" on 24th of November in Hückelhoven. The program includes music by Schubert and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.
A solo recital on the "Magic of the Harp" by Jasmin-Isabel Kühne will be performed on November 9 in the Gaukriche Paderborn. Further concerts with the duo Breidenstein & Kühne will be held on November 3 in Braunschweig and on November 17 in Wiesbaden.
On November 7, Sophia Jaffé will give a concert with the North Czech Symphony Orchestra in Teplice. Nils Mönkemeyer plays at the charity concert for Gute-Tat.de in Berlin on November 28. Other concerts by the famous violist take place in Kempen and Bilbao. Barbara Buntrock will be performing in Bremen and Minden together with Yumin Kim. The Concerts take place on November 17 and 20. You can see Jens Peter Maintz on stage at the concert of Janine Jansen & Friends in London's Wigmore Hall on November 5.
The Doric String Quartet is on tour in Japan this month. On the first Saturday of November, the Novus String Quartet will give a concert in Fischerhude with works by Mozart, Klein and Brahms. On the following day, the ensemble will be on stage with the same program in Wuppertal. The Trio Elego gives a concert at Cismar Monastery on November 16. On November 28, the Ensemble Passo Avanti will be performing in the Jugendstilhalle Landau.
On the 8th and 9th of November Daniel Raiskin conducts three concerts with the Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonie in Koblenz, Villingen-Schwenningen and Villach. The program includes music by Weinberg, Shostakovich and Glazunov. On the 25th of November a concert of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra "Evgeny Svetlanov" will take place in Megaron Athens. Reinhard Goebel will be conducting concerts with Dalasinfoniettan in Dalarna and Falun on November 8 and 9. Together with the Israel Chamber Orchestra and Mirijam Contzen, the conductor performs music by Eberl, Clement and Beethoven in Tel Aviv on the 21st and 23rd of November. Felix Krieger conducts the finals of the August Everding Violin Competition 2019 in the Allerheiligen-Hofkirche Munich on November 15. The finalists of the competition play violin concertos by Mozart. From the 30th of November the conductor will perform in Mozart's "Magic Flute" at the Semperoper.
Also on stage at Semperoper this month is Gerhard Siegel as Piet vom Fass in Ligeti’s opera "La Grand Macabre". The first Sunday of November, Robert Koller is part of the annual concert of the choir cantus Zurich with works by E.-T.-A. Hoffmann. In addition, the bass-baritone will give two concerts in Bern with the Camerata Switzerland and the Concert Choir Pro Arte Bern on November 9 and 10.
Workshops & Master classes
In addition to a recital, Aldo Baerten will also give a master class at the Musikhochschule Mannheim for the 75th birthday of Prof. JM. Tanguy. On November 30, Johanna Dömötör will be giving a master class in flute in collaboration with Prof. Petri Alanko at the Sibelius Academy Helskinki.
